About Me ||

My Purpose ||

To evoke transformation in the lives of individuals and teams so that they can expand into the fullness of their humanity.

What I Do ||

I am a leadership coach, designer, and facilitator who focuses on developing individuals and teams of leaders. I work with a variety of people, from K-12 education leaders, non-profit leaders, to entrepreneurs, each of whom are motivated to grow into the fullest and most expansive version of themselves.

My Approach ||

  1. You are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.

  2. Your transformation belongs to you and is yours to claim.

  3. Your growth into the fullest version of yourself supports all of us; there is enough room for all of us to be the fullest versions of ourselves.

  4. You have what you need already. My role is to help you bring what you already have out.

My Background ||

Growing up, I spent hours upon hours on the (70s harvest gold, corded, rotary dial) phone with my friends. They called me because I listened, and they trusted me with their hopes and their struggles. In those years, I developed the ability to listen deeply, and ask questions that helped them understand themselves more fully.

I spent the formative years of my career as an elementary educator. I learned the importance of building trusting relationships with my students and their families, collaborating with my students to create a space where we could together be ourselves, make mistakes, learn, and celebrate. I’ve spent the last fifteen years leading teams to design and facilitate adult learning experiences that lead to transformation. I’ve managed large and complex teams, led strategic initiatives to strong outcomes, built and evolved curriculum, and facilitated learning for large groups. What I’ve learned is that in every role I’ve held, what brings me the most joy and has the most impact is the time I spend coaching, designing and / or facilitating.

I’m a trained, accredited, Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and I hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation. I’m an experienced designer and facilitator of adult learning experiences. I’ve designed and facilitated learning / served as faculty for organizations such as Teach For America, Fairfax County Public Schools, KIPP and The Holdsworth Center.

More About Me ||

I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, our two daughters, and our two dogs. I host a book club at my home monthly, and one of my greatest joys is reading books that expand my perspective and talking about books with people I love and respect. I am learning how to cultivate presence through my own mindfulness practice. You’ll often find me on long walks on the weekend, talking to one of my friends on the phone (old habits die hard). I work full-time at The Holdsworth Center in a role that I love, and I have no plans to step away from that any time soon. I think all of this gives me a unique perspective as a coach, designer, and facilitator because I can tap into my current experiences as a leader, partner, parent, friend, and community member.

The Space Between ||

My philosophy about coaching, design and facilitation centers around the space between. While each coaching session is an opportunity for the coach and client to come together to explore what the client brings, there is power in the space between coaching sessions. Similarly, in adult learning experiences, there is power in the space to process, reflect, practice and apply the learning.

In the space between…
magic happens.
Barriers disappear.
Learning expands.
Transformation occurs.

In my coaching, I honor the space between by asking my clients to journal about an inquiry or take bold action between sessions. Whether the inquiry is pondered, or the action is taken is not the point; the learning that comes from the space between provides clients with insights that often surprise them and help them unlock more about themselves. In my design and facilitation, I honor the space between by building in space for learners to process what they’re learning, ask questions of themselves and each other, try out what they’re learning and receive insights and feedback, and apply the learning to their unique context.
